Came wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap. Probably because they are 99.9% plastic. The only metal seems to be on the hinges. I guess they needed something stronger. In truth they are just bifocal type. Not the variable focus the listing would have you believe. Not sure if I like the setup but maybe with time I will get used to them. Ok for the price but would not put in a pocket as probably not strong enough to endure any stresses.
