The item was very well packed for shipping, it was bolted onto a wooden frame forming a very rigid cage within a cardboard box. Unfortunately the ceramic bowl had a crack just above the water inlet that would have resulted in the toilet leaking fresh water. The toilet was an used item so I understand that the crack might not have been noticed prior to despatching the unit
