Dear buyer, we don't make the items we sell, we buy them from established suppliers. The maker of this item has 1000s of positive reviews, none of them mentioning any 'chemicals'. After receiving your FB we checked with them and according to the supplier there have been no recent changes how the gel is made - water, agar and the sap from the Uncaria gambir plant and nothing else.
