At first I thought this had happened in transit, then I realized the original package in which the item was packed at the factory had been cut open and the contents handled many times before being sent to me. The twist-tie for the cabling was not factory original and the item was not correctly placed in its vacuum-formed holder. So, the offer of "A brand-new, unused, unopened, item in its original package" was not met.
