The whole thing got wet and the evidence is as follows: The back hardcover is loose, wrinkled, and faded; the front hardcover is stained by wetness; inside the covers the endpapers are stained red by the color of the hardcovers; all the pages are wrinkled. Having said all that, the pages are clean, the photos vivid, the text easy to read, making this damaged book very useable. On the first free endpaper is a private library stamp and penciled name and date of 1945.”
