Seller notes: “All paint removed from body top, could be left as is or repainted. Serial number was also removed ... “All paint removed from body top, could be left as is or repainted. Serial number was also removed with paint, but appears to be recorded inside camera (looks like 67247, 1931). NOTE: Leitz authenticity is guaranteed. Top furniture is generally excellent, except VF is marked with crosshairs. Baseplate paint in v. clean condition, almost no marks, may be a later baseplate as catch is chrome not nickel. Film take-up spool a little hard to remove but does come out. 5cm Elmar is well-used, barrel is brassed and a little loose-fitting but locks into place. Lens not dismounted but looks reasonably clear, mainly a little dust and some minor cleaning marks on front. Iris and focus work fine. Lens catch is non-original. Vulcanite very good, a couple of very minor repairs. Bakelite cap is near mint, no cracks. Case looks prewar, well-made, but not sure it's Leitz, logo looks non standard. Needs 1/4" adaptor to screw onto body baseplate. 2 Brochures and Centenary postcard in very good shape.”
