Poor jacket with large section of loss to the front cover, edges, closed tears and creasing, unclipped. Good/Poor overall. Vintage Boy's adventure Novel. William Earl Johns was an English pilot and writer of adventure stories, usually written under the name Captain W. E. Johns. He is best remembered as the creator of the ace pilot and adventurer Biggles. Johns continued to write "Biggles books" until his death in 1968. The series eventually included nearly a hundred volumes – novels as well as short story collections – most of the latter with a common setting and time.”
