These Vandoren rings are placed over the male part of the tenon joint, so they are visible from the outside of the clarinet.From a normal 'Tuning Ring' description, you may think they are placed INSIDE the female part of the tenon joint, otherwise how are they supposed to "fill the space between the Mouthpiece and barrel when tuning the instrument ?".The Buffet version states "Slips into Barrel sockets", which maybe what i'm looking for. I'm trying to reduce the condensation when tuning flat.
