Lovely. I don’t know why I just love this piece as it reminds me of Ivory. After living years in Alaska with friends who worked with the native ivory carvers. I love ivory which was harvested from the Walrus’ that they killed for food. I was fascinated with the carvings done In ivory, bone, and soapstone. Now I have only a few pieces and my prize piece was carved centuries ago from a piece of Mastodon tusk, which is not an unusual item to use and legal.
