This was recommended to me, & I admit I initially looked it on with some techie cynicism. I bought one to run through my lab. These work best when mounted as close to the antenna as practical . If you have a scanner like a uniden and really good cable this may result in a bit of overload (you will need some outboard attenuation) , if you have an SDR you will probably need to wind the gain down a fair bit . Am I Impressed ? - well I now own 3 & plan to by a 4th to keep in the camper so YES!!
