About this product
Product Information
The Hal Laboratory presents “Kirby Air Ride” with its most famous character, Kirby. The racing video game was introduced to the market in 2003. There is no learning curve associated with Kirby games because it uses an ultra-simple control system. One button on the controller takes care of all the action. This means you can use the A button to hold, charge, and even slide. Tapping the A button or holding it for long periods changes Kirby's actions. Kirby, being his usual self, is also able to copy the moves of his enemies and use them himself. As a result, Kirby goes through some wacky transformations during gameplay. Due to its simplicity, and its E rating, it can be played by people of all ages. It's a game style reminiscent of Mario Kart, and “Kirby Air Ride” was created by the same team that brought Super Smash Bros. to the market. In this installment, everyone's favorite pink fluff ball races through three different gameplay modes: Air Ride, Top Ride, and City Trial. You can choose standard 3D or top-down 2D racing. Players can play on their own or join multi-player tournaments. The Air Ride mode is a back-view race. Players choose a machine and trial against three other real or computer-generated racers in a contest. Gamers can choose laps or time mode. In laps mode, racers complete a certain amount of laps. The goal is to do it the fastest. Time mode allows players to compete in vehicles against each other in a set amount of time. If you're lucky, you may even see the Kirby Super Star Wheelie Bike. Zip through the air and along the course. The player that covers the most distance in a certain amount of time is the winner and the star. The Top Ride game mode allows Kirby to race on small, simple tracks. Gamers view the activities from above. There are only two vehicle choices to choose from, but there are seven different courses to conquer. The different courses have seven themes: metal, water, grass, sand, light, sky, and fire. Top Ride also offers a time attack and free run option. If you're lucky, you may even see Meta Knight show up somewhere.City Trial is the largest option in the “Kirby Air Ride” mini video games. In it, you must travel through a city, cave, forest, and volcano. The Air Ride machine Kirby is riding on can collect top speed, boost, offense, charge, defense, and other bonuses. Additional Air Ride vehicles are hidden throughout the city to enable gamers to change vehicles if needed. Other objects included in the games bonuses are bouncing items, UFOs, meteors, and fake power-ups. Thieves, rail station fires, dense fog, and even a strange pillar are also included. At the end of the level's time limit, a competition will take place to see how well Kirby's machine has held up.Images featured during gameplay include vivid landscapes inspired by previous Kirby titles. For up to four people or a solo adventurer, this game enhances the excitement with sporadic additions of boosts and bonuses. There are nine courses to explore and each is completely different. Unlock over 120 achievements during trials to gain prizes well worth it at the games end. At the conclusion, you get a chance to take on King Dedede himself.
