Seller notes: “This pair of antique Chinese coral pink silk black velvet applique cutout slipper shoes date from ... “This pair of antique Chinese coral pink silk black velvet applique cutout slipper shoes date from the late 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. They are made of a coral pink color silk damask weave woven pattern fabric, with hand stitched black velvet applique cutout decorative designs, trim edging and black leather raised padded trim on the front toes, back heels. These traditional Chinese slipper style slip-on shoes have leather trimmed upturned toes, a quilted rope stitched hard bottom leather soles and are fully lined in a woven flax linen fabric inside. The shoes measure 10 1/2 inches long from toe to heel, 9 inches long on the bottom leather sole and are 3 inches wide. They are in good condition, gently worn with some slight wear along the black leather trim (see close-ups). These are truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese wearable shoe art.”
