I can't tell you here what I truly think ought to be done with the individual who sold me what they claimed was a vintage Shirvan rug. As what they sent was an old, junky, smelly machine-made, cotton mat they'd used in their 'garage' for a heck of a long while. Neither genuine, nor hand-made. They'd thought they'd bluff someone into buying it on Ebay. However, for myself--they succeeded.

From the 8 photographs you can clearly see the state of the rug and that it is of course made from wool.
If you had any knowledge about carpets you would know from the back of the rug, shown in pic, it is and could only be hand made.
I also stated that it had been chemically washed but again you would need knowledge for that to mean anything.
eBay state if an item is not as described you are allowed to return it rather than throwing all of your toys out of the pram & crying
