The VCR/DV player arrived damaged. It was shipped by Fedex and this is the second time I received a damaged item from them. The seller accepted my offer to keep it since it was partially working so overall I rate it as a positive experience. Two lessons: 1) avoid Fedex shipping and 2) pack sensitive equipment with at least 2 inches of padding/styrofoam/bubble wrap in a large sturdy box with no room inside for the item to move around. Overall this seller was good to work with.
