It is made of a black silk fabric with multicolored silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work, goldwork couching dragons and forbidden stitch Peking knot birds. There are embroidered waves of water along the bottom with auspicious symbols, the wan character for longevity, 5 red bats represent the five blessings: health, long life, prosperity, love of virtue and a tranquil natural death, 3 gold dragons, a variety of birds encircling a blank area where the buzi court rank badge square would have been sewn onto both the front and back. This Chinese Imperial court xiape waistcoat robe has a tabard tunic top long loose fitting style with open sides, added gold lame ribbon tie closures on either side, an open front missing the closures, blue silk embroidered trim edging along the bottom with multicolored silk tassel fringe hanging down the”
