As America slowly relaxed its moral codes in the postwar era, pulp novels offered an initiation into the previously hidden demimondes of sex and hedonistic excess. While their cover blurbs feigned shock and disgust, the lurid jackets reveled in illicit danger and excitement. Prominent in America's gallery of evil were teenagers and drug addicts. Together, they threatened to overrun respectable society and drag the country into a pit of vice from which it would never emerge. Here's a sampling of the most daring of these jackets in postcard form--teen temptresses, lawless rock 'n' rollers, and crazed gangs hooked on dope and marijuana.

Seller shipped later than they indicated, ignored my inquiry and request for refund, waited for it to arrive when I had already asked for a refund, listed as "very good"condition and sent a copy with the dust jacket sliced through on the back, and has from the start been a rotten experience.
