I took 11 clear photos at many angles, and I inspected the compote. I have no knowledge of the compote being glued to the base. I have been selling Murano glass for 40 years and this compote is authentic. I asked customer to file a claim and return for full refund. They rejected that idea. I always try to give great customer service. This feedback was left before I had any knowlege of this situation.
