Sometimes you really get what you pay for. There is no adjustment to bring the two images together to produce one round image. You have to close one eye and use only one lenspiece. You have to be so close to the object to focus there is barely 5mm to fit tweezers or anything in whilst you work. I took them apart and am using them as 2 individual hand-held loupes. The individual lights allow this separation. As far as looking at parts close up - they do work.
