I did find a cover to protect it from harsh sun and to keep it dry and clean. The wicker itself is not wax covered like my gorgeous patio furniture, but I believe it will still hold up for a few years use. The areas that are not wicker are a rope fabric, which I did not realize until I unpacked it. But that seems to be fine as well. The assembly was quick and easy for me, 73 years young.
