This is a problem with headphones using a TRRS jack with a microphone, where the sleeve is the mic connection. Sound is mono and extremely distorted. Works with normal 3.5mm TRS jack connectors, but I intended the cable for my Sony MDR-1AM2 that has a TRRS jack with ground on 2nd ring, so useless for me. Seller provided full refund
