Unfortunately, we have no control over what other countries will charge as far as customs duties and taxes. eBay fills out the shipping labels and customs forms for us so we can't easily change the value of something or call it a gift when it was purchased. We've heard Canada is quite extreme with duties owed. We're sorry about the surprise imposed by the Canadian Gov. and hope you are enjoying the Carver Amp. Thanks again!
