Seller notes: “I have found a good substitute for the original AC bulbs for these viewers. This LED bulb is ... “I have found a good substitute for the original AC bulbs for these viewers. This LED bulb is brighter than the original AC bulbs. The rating is an equivalent 15W (vs. 10W for the original bulb). But this LED bulb will 1) last for much longer, 2) only consumes 1W so it does not make the viewer hot or even warm. One drawback is that the rheostat does not do anything, so this bulb has always the same brightness. This is not really important because most people use the viewers at full brightness. This bulb has a daylight balance (5000K) so unlike the original bulb, it is whiter. (I do stock a same warm color balance 3000K bulb that matches the original, see my other listings). This bulb works with the Realist Green Button or Kodaslide II stereo slide viewers and some other ones (Stereo 50, Realist sequential, Arrow View, etc.) and also 2D viewers. If your viewer uses an AC bulb, chances are high that this bulb will work.”
