This is not a direct replacement for a Yanmar YM1500. FIRST, when I put the coupler on the shaft, it bottomed out on the housing, preventing the shaft from turning. The coupling had to be machined to fit into the recess of pump housing. SECOND, the intake and output ports are not oriented the same as stock pump. The return (suction) line needs to be modified to allow a custom fit. I have my fingers crossed to see if the thing even pumps.
