Babol podría haber sido una sencilla novela de amor, pero Joana no se conformó y acabó escribiendo una historia que va mucho más allá que el simple romance. Claramente dividida en dos, la primera parte nos habla de la ingenuidad de la juventud y de la diferencia entre quienes crecen con valores y quienes no. Y la segunda parte, aún más interesante, nos muestra a una protagonista sabia y valiente que afronta la vida con la independencia propia de quien es inmune a lo superficial y sólo valora lo que de verdad vale la pena. Pero, aunque esta pequeña novela es muy capaz de satisfacer al lector más sibarita, como editor y admirador de la obra de Joana Pol sólo puedo recomendar encarecidamente que busque Demonios de Formentera y se enamore de la historia más fantástica y maravillosa y los magníficos personajes que viven en ella. Y que luego corra a leerse la trilogía Bellver (El Poder de la Sangre, El Poder del Amor y El Poder de la Memoria). No son libros para disfrutar unas horas: son libros de los que se quedan en nuestras vidas para siempre.

I got this for a friend of mine. I’d like to good morning give it to them when their new baby arrives. It’ll be a cute gift. I’d like to think that it’ll be really helpful to them. I’d like to think they could have a bit of profit from them. It’s where they get to be a little more well off. I’d like to think they could have a bit more cash at hand. I know that they would appreciate that a bit. I know it’ll be a lot nicer than no gifts at all. I think I’ll hold it for the humor for now.
