Did not expect a real Lamy Safari at this price, and the pen I received had several of the subtle tells that suggest it's a fake--notably a slight irregularity in the shape of the ink windows, along with a clip that is a couple of millimeters shorter than factory spec. Color is also slightly off. Nonetheless it appears to have been made to extremely close tolerances, the extra fine nib writes smoothly, and it's a chance to pick up a rare color combination "Safari" at an attractive price.

Shipped quickly but arrived slowly; the item traveled to many cities enroute to me. I purchased knowing it was a knock-off; I have several real 149's and wanted to see what this was like. The pen was difficult to get started, I had to floss the nib and use white lightning but it now works well. As a knock-off it is impressive. The resin is nice. The clip has a serial number. The clip has Pix printed on the underside. The overall finish is decent. It is smaller than a real 149, 146ish.
