Kintaro has traded in his tough lifestyle as the leader of Japan's largest biker gang for the life of a pencil-sharpening salary man, but some aspects of the past are impossible to leave behind. This animated television show, based on a popular manga by Motomiya Hiroshi, follows its title character through his transition to a 'normal' lifestyle working for the Yamato Construction Company, a lifestyle he vowed to pursue after his wife's death. Though he wants to provide a respectable life for his son, Kintaro remains a fish out of water, navigating his new surroundings with a propensity for wildness and violence that shocks and startles his co-workers. In this volume, Kintaro continues to move up the ladder of corporate success, but everything he holds dear become endangered when the Japanese Mafia, the yakuza, begins blowing up construction sites to increase their power. Kintaro struggles to battle this new threat without reverting to the violence of his old life.
