I wanted a kit to throw into a bag and take with me when I go fishing. I can tie up in situ then. So 30 minutes at the vise and I can have the fly I want in the conditions on the day on the river in question. The vice is the Thompson Model A design. This one is a bit rough but it will hold any hook I need it to. The rest of the tools are great. two hackle pliers, a threader, three half hitch tools, a whip finish tool, a bodkin, and a dubbin twister. plus x? I have been tying since 1965.
