A substantial looking in-line speaker DC protection relay, rated 30 amps max; found an old AC 12 volt (15 on DMM) wall wart to energize it. Now to install. Hope I never have to find out if it works ( though confident).
Fast shipping. Electronic relay ( not sure if mechanical ie the little metal tabs that click open if DC above a certain threshold is detected) or not. Even if high current DC did fry the relay contacts the whole unit is cheap enough to replace, and good insurance for the money.
