Artista eclettico, sempre straordinariamente teso a sperimentare originali forme espressive e nuovi materiali, Aldo Mondino è ormai riconosciuto come uno di più grandi artisti italiani del dopoguerra. La sua opera ha spaziato dal collage alla pittura, dall'installazione alla scultura. In particolare quest'attività è sempre stata presente nel suo lavoro: l'artista torinese ha, infatti, cercato delle soluzioni plastiche anche nelle esecuzioni legate a temi pittorici. Per la prima volta viene ripercorsa la sua attività di scultore dagli anni sessanta alla prematura scomparsa dell'artista nel 2005: una storia di straordinarie creazioni si unisce a una ricerca sui materiali unica, dalla cioccolata al bronzo, dalla ceramica al vetro, dal legno alle penne Bic.
