I bought these to use on a rc boat. They do what they should so I suppose good value for money. I fly droned and have done for years, I wouldn't imagine they 'wouldn't' imagine you could see the lights from any great distance. If you are flying at night, in darkness, at relatively close proximity, they would probably suit your needs. For the price, as I said earlier, they are not bad.
