Despite the fact that the printer I was buying was supposed to have free delivery, the seller contacted me by telephone to ask for an extra £100 for postage. Not unexpected as I live in Northern Ireland and we are forever hit with excess costs for postage. I advised them that it was against ebay rules to request payment other than via ebay. He contacted me directly several times before finally sending a request through proper channels.

Sorry for the inconvenience you caused due to this. You have ordered a large plotter and we had to send it via pallet delivery. The courier was asking more charges than the regular delivery. Still, we have paid 80% of the postage charges.
