Singer-songwriter Melvin Koen recorded and released "You Know" and the flip side "Tail Light" for Tommy Robinson's New York City-based, independent label, Atlas Records in 1959. "You Know" is an up-tempo rock 'n roller with a heavy dose of doo-wop influence while "Tail Light" takes things down to a slow simmer. While Koen went on to pen a handful of songs for other artists, it looks like this Atlas 45 was his only release.
