The Secret Life of Us traces the often tumultuous life of a group of friends in their mid-twenties who live in a St Kilda apartment building and are all looking for the same thing love, sex, romance and success. The problem is they haven't worked out how to get it yet so they make it up as they go along. Exploring sympathetic themes and establishing a recognised trifecta of homelife, lovelife and worklife their experiences become a salient reminder that despite the struggle, juggle and balance of these things friendship is what remains. With Rex (Vince Colosimo) moving in and her return to the surgical program things are looking up for Alex (Claudia Karvan). Kelly (Deborah Mailman) takes a reality check and makes a new set of priorities for herself. Richie (Spencer McLaren) is doing well for himself - but is he becoming a sell-out? Meanwhile Evan (Samuel Johnson) and Kelly disagree over an old backpacker friend who has come to stay. Featuring guest stars: Kim Gyngell, Rhys Muldoon, Torquil Neilson, Pia Miranda, Sullivan Stapleton, Nathan Page Pamela Rabe and Gigi Edgley.
