The transaction was fine, but I really do not care for the item - “Brass Sundial Compass Vintage Dollond London Nautical Antique compasses solid.” Seems like it is set up for Southern hemisphere. The wording about “Slip the notch in the brass arm…” has nothing to do with this device as far as I can tell. But it was cheap and I should have researched it further, so I can’t give the eBayer a bad review. The description says nothing about actually telling time & the compass does work!
