These are exactly as pictured in the listing, and each small set of four drawers is packed separately in thin bubble wrap and then inside its own cardboard carton. The construction of these drawers is what you might expect for the price -- butt joints, glue, and some pin nails to hold it together while the glue dries. The box construction includes wood separating the drawers, that the drawers ride on, wood on wood. I will probably add some wax to the drawer bottoms and sides so they run well.
