Airing on weekday afternoons from 1974-1989, the series' issue-oriented storylines were usually adapted from young-adult novels and starred some of the most popular teen actors of its day, including Rob Lowe, Dana Plato, Nancy McKeon, Melissa Sue Anderson, Kristy McNichol, Kirk Cameron, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Eve Plumb, and Christopher Knight. This collection features all 26 specials produced by Martin Tahse between 1974-1989, including two never-before-released episodes: "The Dog Days of Arthur Crane," which finds a selfish teen magically transformed into a dog; and "Picking Up the Pieces, " which broaches the topic of teen alcoholism.
