Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The brass drop ring handles are old replacements; the brass key escutcheons are original. The drawers retain the original drawer linings. The top two drawers retain the original working iron lever locks; the bottom two original locks are faux / dummy locks. There is a key that works the top two locks. The chest stands on old replacement Victorian turned bun feet. Chests of drawers of this age usually have replacement feet due to the period of time they have stood on damp floors. The sides and backboards on the chest are also original. Overall, this item is solid in joint (not loose or wobbly) and is ready to use.”
