Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the walnut & beech frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The couch has been newly upholstered in top quality luxurious paisley structured chenille fabric; therefore the upholstery is new and in excellent condition (it’s clean with no signs of wear and tear or damage). The seat is firmly sprung, but at the same time, is extremely comfortable. The underside is upholstered in traditional hessian. The frame, arms and legs are well constructed and solid in joint, having been constructed from solid walnut and beech. There has been restoration to the rear legs in the past. As the couch boasts the original polish it has a fantastic colour and patination. This colour can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The back and arms are also in good condition with no loose joints, and no missing carving. This couch is well constructed, solid in joint an”
