Typically because the film featured equipment or techniques which were by then obsolete or out of date. Now 30 or 40 years later they tend to show life as it used to be. Rather than waiting until 1 I was projecting a film and 2 that it was the right one I have transferred some on the films on to DVD+R dvds so that you can enjoy them in your own home. That way you can have a film for private study with damaging the film further.”
