Notes2016 release. Peter Wolf is best known as lead vocalist for the J. Geils Band from '67-'83. A solo artist since '89, Peter made a real mark with 2002's Sleepless. He has fashioned a unique musical niche for himself, maybe best described as Urban Americana, mixing R&B, Bakersfield country and soul with unique narratives. For this, he wrote 9 of the 12 tracks, four of them with Grammy/Golden Globe/Academy Award-winning songwriter Will Jennings. Also has covers of songs penned by Lefty Frizell, Moe Bandy and Thomas Wayne.
