NotesMuch like Dimitri Diatchenko's live performances, Acoustic Journey encompases a very wide variety of genres, styles and nationalities. Dimitri uses eight different tunings on this album as well as several different guitars. His love for music from every corner of the world and his ability to perform them, with much care given to the genre's character and mood, is displayed with elan and attention to detail. Acoustic Journey also includes two original works, 'Tango en Paraiso' and 'Sofia's Song'. The tango was inspired by Dimitri's first concert tour on the island of Kauai in Hawaii and 'Sofia's Song' was written as a musical description of his sister, Sofia, for her wedding. All the tracks are performed as they would be in a live setting. No over-dubbing or extra tracks are added. Dimitri started playing guitar at the age of seven. He eventually was offered a scholarship to Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he received his bachelor's degree in music and then continued with his master's degree studies at Florida State University. In 1996 he graduated with honors from Florida State and moved to Los Angeles to start his acting career and be in a bigger market for his musical pursuits. You have probably seen Dimitri in films and many popular TV shows as well as heard his voice in many blockbuster video games and animated TV series such as Family Guy. Some films and TV shows of note are Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Get Smart, Gi Jane, Remarkable Power and Burning Palms. TV shows of note are Without a Trace, General Hospital, Criminal Minds, Walker, Texas Ranger, Sons of Anarchy and Burn Notice. Video games of note are Ironman 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, Call of Duty: World at War and Black Ops, and Spiderman (Sandman).
