Notes'ALL MY FRIENDS', is the title of Marguerita Page's very first compact disc release, and if the quality of the music on this collection is any indication, 'ALL MY FRIENDS' will be not be the last music you'll be hearing from this fabulous singer. This entire CD is great! How often can you say that. 'ALL MY FRIENDS' is a nine song vocal collection featuring three original songs and one lyrical adaptation by Marguerita Page. The original compositions are: 'The Dragonfly', 'Peace', the title track 'All My Friends', and Charlie Parker's Bebop Jazz classic 'Donna Lee', which features a very clever set of original lyrics and an incredible solo by world renowned saxophonist Charles MacPherson. Additionally, there is an original song entitled, 'My Star' written by the popular songwriting team of Hollis Gentry and Susan Myers. The balance of the collection features a very nice remake of Lester Abrams 'I want to sing it to you', an awesome Brazilian percussion/samba band mix of Chick Corea's 'You're Everything', a classic version of 'The Nearness of You' by Hoagie Carmichael which also features a beautiful Charles MacPherson solo, and a truly upbeat Fattburger-style version of Al Dubin's classic, 'I only have eyes for you'. 'ALL MY FRIENDS' not only features the Pop/Jazz vocal stylings of Marguerita Page. It also features an All Star line-up of San Diego's finest jazz musicians including: CARL EVANS Jr. of FATTBURGER, acoustic piano, keyboards MEL GOOT, acoustic piano, keyboards TOMMY AROS OF FATTBURGER, percussion ALLAN PHILLIPS, percussion HOLLIS GENTRY, alto, tenor and soprano saxophones MARK HUNTER OF FATTBURGER, electric bass KEVIN KOCH OF FATTBURGER, drum programming CHARLES MCPHERSON, alto sax MARK SHAPIRO OF FATTBURGER, guitar GABE TIRADO, guitar MITCH MANKER, trumpet PETER SPRAGUE, acoustic guitar 'ALL MY FRIENDS' was produced by Carl Evans Jr. of FATTBURGER.
