In 1998, she embarked on an international concert tour devoted to the composer's violin sonatas. A LIFE WITH BEETHOVEN was filmed at the height of this tour and features one of Mutter's most remarkable performances ever. Aided by the piano playing of Lambert Orkis, Mutter beautifully interprets Beethoven's Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major (aka "The Spring Sonata") and Violin Sonata No.9 in A Major (aka "Kreutzer Sonata.") In addition, the video includes a documentary film which explores Mutter's development as a master violinist.
