NotesBead Game hailed from Boston in the late 60s and recorded their debut, the well respected WELCOME in 1970. They then recorded this self-titled follow up in 1970/71 but the project was sadly shelved. 40+ year on the album is finally and officially released in conjunction with the surviving members. Bead Game featured the talents of Robert Gass (keyboards), Lassie Sachs (bass), Kenny Westland-Haag (rhythm guitar & lead vocals) and Jim Hodder (lead vocals & drums). After their split Jim Hodder went on to fame as a founding member of Steely Dan. The BEAD GAME mirrors the Dan's style - a fusion of influences including from rock, jazz, country & psych to create a perfect whole. Album reviews: UK mag RECORD COLLECTOR gave 4 out of 5 stars and called it 'Stoned Immaculate'
