Sidney James stars in the Thames Television classic situation comedy series, Bless This House, in which he takes a wife and family. Sidney plays Sid Abbott, Mr Average Married Man. A representative for a stationery firm. Sid's interests in life are the three C's: Chelsea, Courages and Crumpet. Not necessarily in that order! However, in common with most married men, he finds these ambitions constantly thwarted by his wife, son and daughter. Also, not necessarily in that order. Sid likes to think he is with it, but in actual fact, he would not know it if he saw it. Diana Coupland plays his attractive, sensible, levelheaded wife. Sally Geeson is his 16-year-old daughter, Sally. She's in her last year of Grammar School and is the apple of Sid's eye. Robin Stewart plays Mike who is 19 and just left college. He is far to busy straightening out the affairs of the world to bother about a job. The series concerns itself with the life of the family in general and with Sid in particular. As far as Sid and his children are concerned, there exists not so much a general gap as a grand canyon of misunderstanding and utter bewilderment.Product Identifiers
