NotesCompilation featuring 18 tracks recorded during her Bluegrass influenced period in the early '70s.. By the time she had her first solo chart hit, 'Mule Skinner Blues' in 1970, Parton had already been a Country Music recording artist for nearly a decade, most notably as Porter Wagoner's singing partner since the latter part of the '60s. By the time of these recordings, she had become a bona fide Country star in her own right, but it would still be quite a few years before she became an absolute crossover superstar! Apart from the aforementioned first hit, 'Mule Skinner Blues', this collection also features 'Joshua', 'Back Home', 'Daddy's Moonshine Still', 'My Tennessee Mountain Home' and her signature tune 'Coat of Many Colors'.
