NotesWithout a doubt B. B. King is one of the most, if not THE most well-known blues musician to date and at 89 years old he is still playing and touring plus owns a string of blues clubs and steakhouses. I wonder if he eats his steak blue? (Sorry). This is, we think, a different way of looking at his early career via the budget albums released by his first label, Modern Records through to the first handful of recordings he made after signing with ABC Records in 1962. Features many hits and now famous songs from his career including: "Please Love Me"; "3 O'clock Blues"; "You Know I Love You"; "Sweet Little Angel" "Ten Long Years"; "Sweet Sixteen (Parts 1 & 2)" and many more. By the '70s and the release of "The Thrill Has Gone", B. B. King really was the "King of the Blues" and this CD set is a great way to acquire some of his greatest hits and most influential recordings.
