NotesRobin Almony hails from a quiet suburban area outside of Baltimore, Maryland. She began her musical career at the tender age of 4 years old. It was a rendition of the classic song, 'Jesus Loves Me.' Since then, music and ministry have always been a central focus of Robin's life. She continued to follow her passion throughout her young life, singing in school and church choirs until adulthood. Robin continues to display her passion for musical and theatrical ministry today. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in musical theatre from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, she moved to the Lancaster-Strasburg area of Pennsylvania. Robin resided there for over 4 years working full time at Sight and Sound Theatres' Millenium Theatre, the largest Christian theatre in the Western Hemisphere. While there she acted and sang as a principal character, doing over 11 shows a week. If that wasn't enough, she also toured along the east coast and mid-atlantic region of America, performing at various churches, fairs and conferences. In addition to these solo concerts, she ministered with the vocal group 'Refuge.' 'We've put out our first praise and worship CD, and it's very exciting to see what God is doing in my life and in the other members of the group, and we are really hoping and praying that this will touch a lot of people.' After leaving Sight & Sound, Robin went on to pursue her dream of becoming a solo recording artist. She is currently working on securing a contract with a major record label in the urban pop arena. In addition to hearing her on tour and on her Christmas album, listeners can find Robin's voice on the 'Broadway Bound' recording for Munchkin Toy Company.* Robin's debut album, 'On Christmas Morn' captures the essence of jazz influenced easy listening. She muses, 'I want this album to be one you could put on while you're sipping hot cocoa by the fire on a cold snowy Christmas Eve.' And listeners will indeed find her music enjoyable on such occasions, as well as many others. It is also available from this site. Robin's newest CD, 'Catching Rainbows' is sure to be one you will grab when you need a pick me up. It has something for everyone and will be one that is sure to bring you hope within the midst of your own personal chaos. Robin stated, 'Everybody has experienced brokenness and hurt in their lives because brokenness is not a respecter of persons. But, the Lord Jesus is able to heal that brokenness and instead fill that void with hope and joy. It is my hope and prayer that many people's life will be changed by this album.'
