This three-feature box set from Paramount Pictures offers a trilogy of that studio's most beloved westerns in Blu-Ray format. First up is 1953's HONDO, directed by John Farrow; it stars John Wayne as Hondo Lane, a cavalry rider assigned to protect an iron willed woman named Angie (Geraldine Page) and her son. Next on the bill is director Sergio Leone's 1969 masterpiece ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST - presented here in two versions (original theatrical release and restored cut); it stars Claudia Cardinale, Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda and Jason Robards in the tale of a desert town's attempt to control water - which pits three gunmen against one another. Finally, Henry Hathaway's 1969 TRUE GRIT stars John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn, a U.S. Marshal hired by a young girl to find the man who murdered her father and stole the family fortune.
