In the "Night of the Owls" comic storyline, The Dark Knight had his work cut out for him when the Batcave was invaded. With his back up against the wall, Batman turned to his strongest weapon: the Thrasher Suit. DC Collectibles has immortalized this design in plastic with the release of the Series 2 Thrasher Batman figure. This figure was released in Series 2 of the Greg Capullo Designer line. Like the other Capullo series figures, Thrasher Suit Batman looks like Greg Capullo's artwork came to life. The product features heavy shading and ink lines, which are characteristics of Greg Capullo’s artwork. The toy measures at almost 11 inches in height, making it in-scale with other action figures from this DC Collectibles line. The first thing you'll notice upon handling this DC Collectibles is its weight. This figure has a significant heft, weighing over a pound. Much of the weight of this figure is concentrated in the legs and feet. This additional weight help keeps the collectible stable in any pose you put it in. This DC Comics collectible features over 50 points of articulation. You'll find the standard articulation seen on other toys, including double-jointed knees, rocker ankles, and a waist swivel. However, this figure uniquely features 15 joints in each hand. Each finger has three joints, including the base of the finger, the knuckle, and the tip. These articulated fingers give the product a personality that is unmatched by other toys, and you can use these fingers to grip a foe such as Superman. You can also use these fingers to have Batman point into the distance or even show off his sign language. There is no limit to what you can do with this articulation. The Thrasher Suit collectible is almost identical to how it appears in the comics. Only minor details were changed to make this product more toy-like. For example, in the comics, the suit had Batarangs shoot out of the hands. However, on this product, the Batarangs are permanently displayed coming out of the hand like a claw. The product features other changes such as the design of the kneecap. These changes were implemented to ensure the design would not hinder the range of motion. This action figure uses a combination of high-quality ABS and PVC plastic. This high-quality plastic ensures that the joints are thick and won't crumble after use. This collectible includes one accessory, though you may not realize it is an accessory at first. You can remove the helmet from the armor to reveal Bruce Wayne's head underneath, which is sculpted to look like it does in the DC Comics books. The head of Bruce Wayne is on a swivel joint, letting it look in all directions. This DC Comics action figure is a must-own product for any Batman fan.
